2016: The Sret Junior High School

At the end of 2015 we set our sights on raising funds to

build a junior high school for 450 children in Sret Province.

The cost of construction was $80,000, and we partnered with the British Schools Foundation in England to raise the needed funds.  The project was managed by The

Trailblazer Foundation which is stationed in Siem Reap. We raised these funds by selling our handmade jewelry and notecards. We also brought Cambodian handcrafts back from Siem Reap to sell to raise funds. These products supplied income to the craftspeople in Cambodia who made the items. Construction on the school started in the Spring of 2016 and was completed by November, 2016.

We had a great time visiting the new school and the middle schoolers in the winter of 2017.
